I'm sure there are ppl here watching anime or reading mangas ok what is your favorite ?

I like bleach and still watching it, inuyasha , scraido, death note ... :-? and others i really like anime

I have seen something called Mezzo (I liked it)
The other was Ergo Proxy... I liked the art, but the story evolved rather poorly. But it was certainly entertaining... so I guess I liked it too.

My favourite is Boogiepop Phantom. Really twists your mind. Should be perfect for Haenami ^^

How about Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex? A friend just lent it to me. Should I watch it? The tech guys are really into anime, so when I expressed some interest... the suggestions are overwhelming.

There are 2 movies of Ghost in the Shell. Try those. If you like them you can watch the series without wasting too much time, if GitS is not the thing for you.

It depends what you like to watch. There is always a great equivalent (does this word exists in english?) of anime for everything you might like in real life.

And Ariakus listed Gankustuou and Death Note, 2 of the finest anime series of today. You will definitely like those.

Gankustuou is "The Count of Monte Christo" in a modern world with a slightly changed story but true enough to the book.
And Death Note... well... see for yourself and decide on which side you are. ^^

Hae: It is really worth watching the Ghost In the Shell Stand Alone Complex series. Many episodes make you think and ponder what really happened in them and also many episodes raise interesting questions.

I also strongly recommend you to watch Cowboy Bebop cause it is one of the best series ever made.

Well, it really depends, what Hae likes and dislikes.

For example, Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bepop are totally different anime genres. An anime fan will surely like both series but someone who is not that into anime and just wants to explore that "realm" a little bit might like one and hate the other series depending on his/her taste.

Cowboy Bepop is a great series, so is GitS SA but both series require ALOT of free time to watch everything, so it's not not just a matter of "which series are great" but more "which series are great that fits Hae's (or any other non anime fanatic) taste".

This just goes for recommendations. Almost every anime listed by Ariakus is decent to great... depending on taste...

And it is hard to recommend something to Hae, given her amount of hobbies, interests and character quirks ;-)

My bet is on Gankustuou, Death Note and Boogiepop Phantom.
I bet one free lick on Haenamis toes that she will like these anime. \(^o^)/
